Knowledge is the key to success – an exciting new training initiative in South Africa

This course aims to assist you to prepare for the Tax Professional External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA) exam.

Presented by SAIT and the University of Pretoria

The course covers the relevant competencies as outlined in the Tax Professional Qualification Curriculum. This is presented on an E-learning platform, delegates will gain access to audio recordings of lectures, lecturing materials and assessments of the Post Graduate Programme in Advanced Taxation presented in Pretoria.

Delegates will write the SAIT External Integrated Summative assessment in February 2018 to be able to register as professional members of SAIT upon successful completion.

Funded by Fasset (the Accounting and Finance Services SETA), the course is jointly managed by SAIT and the University of Pretoria. All programme training costs are funded by Fasset.

Admission requirements

Prospective delegates should have 4 year’s workplace experience in all relevant tax fields (VAT, PAYE, Individuals and corporate compliance and consulting/ opinion writing) to be able to compile the SAIT workplace logbook, and passed SAIT Knowledge competency assessment exam in past 3 years or completed a University of Pretoria honours degree in Tax since 2014.

Preselected learners will be invited for an interview and need to be available for an interview between 19 April – 29 April 2017. This is done in order to select the final learners that will be accepted onto the programme.

Accreditation and certification

Delegates who successfully complete the course and comply with the related assessment criteria are awarded certificates by the University of Pretoria in recognition of their professional skills development. If the required mark to pass is achieved in the External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA), the Occupational Qualification: Tax Professional will be awarded by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) as the Regulatory Body.
The Qualification will be recognised by SAIT for full membership and professional status at Advisory Level. The Qualification leads to the membership level, Tax Advisor (SA).
